Free-Open Scientific Software
for Borderless Modelling
The non-profit ModLibre programme is dedicated since November 2000 to Free-Open Scientific Software for Borderless Modelling (ModLibre = Modélisation Libre = Free-Open Modelling).
The ModLibre program is more and more involved in the promotion of free-open ressources for education and research, especially during local or international meetings. Some presentations are available on-line.
General or specialized public may be concerned, from nursery school to university:

- The OLPC (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/One_Laptop_per_Child) project and its successors Sugar Labs (https://www.sugarlabs.org/) and Sugarizer (https://sugarizer.org/).
- PhET (https://phet.colorado.edu/en/simulations/category/html) libre and portable scientific simulations.
- Scratch (https://scratch.mit.edu/about) for kids programming animations and games.
- Python (https://www.python.org/) for general programming by kids and adults.
- Scilab (https://www.scilab.org/en), a free and open source software for numerical computation.
- SageMath (http://www.sagemath.org/), a free/libre mathematical softare for numerical and algebraic computation.
Most of these activities are pursued with the following associations:
